Alinah Kallon

Alinah Kallon is a journalist and radio broadcast and video content producer from Freetown, Sierra Leone.
She is presently the Northern Region Coordinator and Senior Journalist for Media Matters for Women, a non-profit funded by the Oak Foundation in Switzerland.
She has over a decade years of progressively challenging experience in media, advertising, and broadcast journalism. Alinah completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Sierra Leone with honours.
Because of her performance in her undergraduate program at Fourah Bay College, she received the 2008 “Chancellor’s Leadership Award” from the University of Sierra Leone and was recognized as an “African Trail Blazer” by the United Bank for Africa. She studied Financial Journalism in a Master’s Degree program jointly offered by the City University in London and Aarhus University in Denmark until 2012.
She completed another joint Masters degree from Catholic University of Milan and the University of Makeni in 2016.
Alinah is a strong advocate for women who is using her job and space to advocate for a better life for women and girls in Sierra Leone.
