The cloned tweeter account of Ady Macauley received multiple reshared on various social media platforms.
He retweets: “The above tweet is fake, and it was an unknown person that cloned into my Twitter account, edit it and supper impose whatever they wished in order to smear my reputation.”
He went on, “I took a snapshot of the fake news, and I indicated on it, please ignore this post, it is fake, and it does not come from me.”
The Director of External Relations at Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) , Albert Massaquoi noted that since the registration process started on 3 September 2022, to date, “no arrest has been made whatsoever by the commission, especially in relation to something that has to do with the August 10, 2022, riot.”
