The Acting Publicity Secretary, of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Sidi Yayah Tunis has told Salone Fact–Checker in an exclusive interview that the press release posted Satellite Newspaper WhatsApp forum on 19th August 2020 is fake, fabricated and baseless.
“No Such release has come from the APC party secretariat expelling Comarde Sylvia Olayinka Blyden and it should not be countenance,” the APC Publicity said.
According to the press release in circulation “after receiving a spate of complaints about indiscipline and anti-party activities perpetuated by comrade Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, through a spate of incendiary utterances aimed at demeaning our Chairman and Leader and other members of the National Advisory Council, an emergency NAC meeting was summoned this evening, 19th August, 2020 via zoom to immediately discuss and take a decision on the matter.”
The release reads that the National Advisory Council (NAC) has unanimously decided to expel Comrade Sylvia Olayinka Blyden from the APC party, pursuant to Article 8 of the 1995 Constitution of the party, for anti-party activities, fermenting violence, deceit, inciting hate, threating the personal security of key party functionaries, flouting of rulings and decisions of the party, carrying out anti-party propaganda and engaging in activities inconsistent with the achievements of the party’s objectives.
The release dated 19th August, 2020 appeared to be signed by National Secretary General of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Amb. Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh, but it is clear now that it is a fake.
