The majority in the IGTC in consultation with stakeholders of the party have voted out the court appointed Peter Conteh and have elected S.B.B.  Dumbuya as chair of the ITGC henceforth. The Court Is being notified and notice will soon follow”

The tweet carrying the name of the Honourable Abdul Kargbo of constituency 077 indicating that S B.B. Dumbuya has been appointed Chairman of the ITGC of the APC party is fake. The verified account of the Honorable has also debunked it. Peter Conteh is still the ITGC Chairman of the APC Party.

On the 15th November, 2022 a cloned twitter post bearing Hon. Abdul Kargbo went viral on various social media platforms, which reads “Enough of lawlessness by few in the APC.The majority in the IGTC in consultation with stakeholders of the party have voted out the court appointed Peter Conteh and have elected S B.B Dumbuya as chairman of the ITGC henceforth. The Court is being notified and notice will soon follow.”

Hon. Abdul Kargbo of constituency 077 described the Twitter post to the Truth team as ‘fake’ at no point the IGTC has met to vote on the removal of the current ITGC Chairman, Peter Conteh since he was appointed through by a high court ruling.

He told the Truth team via a phone interviewed on Friday 25th November, 2022 that the act could be an act of unscrupulous person whose aim is to see that the party doesn’t trend through the right direction. He pointed out that immediately the fake post pop in, he debunked it with his correct account as “fake”. He however called on Sierra Leoneans to check his debunked post which reads as “mischievous and dishonest people have again done a fake tweet in my name. Very sad when people resort to new lows on a daily basis to perpetuate their desperation.”

He expressed dissatisfaction over the unscrupulous individuals that have continued to cloned his twitter account to make ‘fake ‘post about issues that are untrue.
